· Maintaining high standards of performance based on thorough knowledge of, and adherence to, established policies and procedures regarding current refugee processing eligibility criteria, database, and file management guidelines.
· Conducting resettlement interviews with refugee applicants, collecting biographical information and establishing refugee persecution claims across Sub-Saharan Africa.
· Determining case composition and ensures all refugee cases are cross-referenced according to established standard operating procedures.
· Establishing validity of applicant's identity through verification of all demographic and biographic information.
· Preparing cases for United States Citizenship of Immigration Services, (USCIS) including reviewing physical file and START database.
· Analyzing, evaluating, and assessing eligibility of refugee applicants for final adjudication by USCIS Officers.
· Running quality check reports to ensure complete and accurate files, as well as identifying and correcting processing errors prior to USCIS adjudication.
· Assisting as needed in preparing for and execution of circuit rides.
· Conducting file reviews for cases in accordance with RSC and USCIS guidelines while paying close attention to detail.
· Informing refugees of possibility of fraud in resettlement process and proper channels of reporting any form of fraud or persecution that may occur during resettlement process.
· Providing psychosocial support to applicants by providing counseling on their options of resettlement.

• Providing confidential and expert assistance, including counseling and psychosocial support to vulnerable members of the community including intersex persons and GBV survivors.
• Accurately recording intersex and GBV survivors' data and ensuring the information is safely stored and remains confidential and supporting the development of a database that assisted in tracking referrals across programs.
• Holding focus group discussions with victims, and external partners to gain an in-depth understanding of issues of GBV as well as the intersex persons from members of different communities. The focus group discussions entailed conducting sensitization, dialogue and mediation sessions.
• Creating and maintaining monitoring and reporting systems which were consistently used by the community workers in tracking GBV trends and attacks on intersex persons and tracking referrals across the programs.
• Interpreting and analyzing data on GBV trends and share findings with partners and relevant stakeholders.
• Providing training to women and girls on savings, loans, and financial literacy to build their own businesses.
