• Leading the team of procurement at NSSF where we have effectively implemented the Procurement plan in line with the budget, the Corporate strategic plan and the Policies of the organization while strictly adhering to the Public Procurement and Asset Disposal act 2015 (PPADA 2015) and the attendant Regulations 2020
• Admitted as a Member of the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply (Eaton - England) on 21st January, 2008 and as a Member of the Kenya Institute of Supplies Management (KISM) on 19th March 2011 and has been a practitioner ever since
• Ensuring that the procurement process at the Social Security Fund is carried out with utmost integrity and in adherence to the Laws of Kenya
• Implementing 32 roles of the Head of Procurement as outlined in the PPAD Regulations 2020 Section 33 effectively with unparalleled and measurable results
• Have managed and processed supplier’s payments as per the service charter
• Preparing and Implementing the consolidated Annual Procurement plan and Presenting it to the BOT for approval as guided by the Accounting Officer
• Having been a risk champion, developed the ERM and Risk register for Procurement department and have been implementing it
• By realigning the tasks, I have ensured that purchases and Disposals are made efficiently in line with the statutes and policies of the organization

• Reviewing the usage and expenditure on Stock Items ensuring there is cost reduction while maintaining optimum stocks levels with zero stock outs
• Managing the supplier’s contracts through contract Implementation Committees (CIT) or Inspection and acceptance Committees achieving timely delivery while ensuring that the Fund only receives what was ordered or specified in the contract
• Reviewing all the Procurement reports i.e
• The Tender Evaluation Report, Quotation Analysis Reports, Contract Implementation Reports, Negotiation Reports, Inspection and Acceptance Reports, Local Content Reports, Build Kenya Buy Kenya Reports, AGPO Uptake Reports for the Accounting Officer’s attention
• Preparing professional opinion on all procurements pursuant to the Public Procurement and Asset Disposal Act 2015 Section 84
• Have been preparing responses to tender appeals and submitting them to the Public Procurement Administrative Review board
• Having been the Corruption, Bribery and Fraud risk champion, I developed the current Plans/framework and mitigations matrix for the department
• Coordinated and supervised the implementation of the ERP system (SAP – MM) first as an evaluator and then as a Super user with positive and evident impact
• I have been impactful in sensitizing all the staff at NSSF on SAP – MM and staff in procurement on, Risk Management plans, Business Continuity plans, Bribery, Corruption, Fraud Risk Mitigation plans and Training needs analysis with great success
