My duties included:

● Maintaining high standards of personal conduct in the boarding house, in accordance with school policies
● Fostering a homely, purposeful and safe atmosphere within the Boarding area
● Inducting new boarders and liaising closely with their parents before, during and after their arrival at the school
● Being proactive in seeking to forge excellent personal relationships with boarders, their parents and/or carers
● Overseeing the pastoral and academic welfare of all students in the boarding area and act in loco parentis for boarders during term time
● Carry out daytime and evening duties as agreed with the Second Master
● Carry out weekend duties, on rotation, as agreed with the Second Master

• As a History Teacher, my Candidate Class of 2022 was able to achieve a mean of 9.2 translating to a mean grade of B against a target of B+
• I introduced Hockey in March 2023 and currently the school team is composed of 20 students
• As a Debate Patron, I have served as an advisor to SAIMUN, an authentic simulation of the United Nations General Assembly or other multilateral body, which introduces students to the world of leadership, diplomacy, international law, speech writing, strategy, report, resolution, treaty writing, negotiation and decision making.

• I am a Religious Education Paper 2 Examiner at the Kenya National Examination Council
• My current position has stretched me to understand the current KCSE examination trends and apply it in my instruction to the benefit of the Learner.
• Maintained up-to-date knowledge of industry regulations to ensure accurate application assessments.
• Participated in ongoing professional development opportunities to stay current on industry changes and maintain expertise in the field.
• Improved overall application quality by providing constructive feedback to applicants during the review process.

• Throughout my stay at the school, I taught various candidate classes over the years and prepared them for the KCSE National Examination in Religious Education
• They performed in the following manner: KCSE 2020 Religious Education: Form 4 Yellow Mean score 10.1, Form 4 White Mean score 9.4, KSCE 2021 Religious Education: Form 4 Red Mean score 8.7
• I served as a Class Teacher to Form 2 Yellow from (2021-2022) which challenged me to become a role model to the learners as well as develop interactive skills and effective communication when I acted as a link between the parents, the school administration and the learners
• I also served as the Secretary to the Humanities Department
• This role enabled me to develop organizational skills in leadership as well as being able to record, store and easily access information regarding the departmental minutes, and the implementation of the matters discussed
• I served in the Field Hockey Coach and Referee at the school for the entire period i worked at the school
• This positioned helped me to develop patience and resilience while developing the talents and abilities of the student players at the school.
