Accomplishments

  • I was part of the team that helped develop the Smile Train/SPOON cleft nutrition curriculum and was instrumental in rolling it out in Kenya, Tanzania, Burundi and Virtually in West and Central Africa in 2019 and 2020. Since 2021, I have been a Cleft Nutrition Lead-Trainer having run trainings in Kenya, Tanzania, Malawi, Nigeria and Zimbabwe.
  • My presentation at the 14th International Cleft Congress, Cleft 2022 Conference in Edinburgh, Scotland was shortlisted for the inaugural Circle of Cleft Professionals (COCP) Award recognizing the most impactful research upon multi-disciplinary, team-based, and locally rooted cleft care in Low and Middle Income County (LMIC) context.
