Summary

Mbeo Ogeya is a Research Fellow at the Stockholm Environment Institute (SEI) - Africa Center and a PhD fellow in Innovation and Sustainable Development. With a strong background in energy systems modeling, Mbeo joined SEI in 2016 to contribute to the Water-Energy-Food Nexus project in the Akagera basin in Rwanda. Throughout his career, he has actively participated in, led, and co-led numerous projects across Africa, focusing on energy, energy transition, climate change mitigation, and sustainable development. Prior to joining SEI, Mbeo played a key role in establishing transformative projects at the Kenya Industrial Research and Development Institute, including the Kenya Climate Innovation Center, frugal innovation and gasifier technology development, stove testing laboratory, and biogas research laboratory. Mbeo possesses expertise in energy systems and climate change mitigation modeling.
