I am an accomplished professional and an initiative driven finance leader with a proven track record of performance, turnaround, and effective management of finance, operations, and administration departments in a cross section of industries. I bring extensive leadership experience in setting up departments, developing financial strategies that align with company objectives, overseeing budget and forecasting, timely and accurate financial reporting, cashflow and working capital management, risk management, legal and tax compliance in East and Southern Africa markets I pride myself in being a challenging and versatile leader who builds effective teams, creates holistic working environment to enable development of people that I serve and work with. I am highly capable change- agent who consistently refines and revitalizes strategies, initiates change and facilitates solutions-driven team collaboration. I bring a wealth of experience in leadership, strategy formulation and execution, commercial and financial analysis, Management Information Systems, company, contract development, strategy design, partnerships, resource mobilization and legal compliance. I am proficient in leading and managing cross cultural teams and managing multiple projects. Within 2years of joining mPharma, I have grown from being the country Finance manager for Kenya to head the Finance function in East Africa and eventually East and Southern Africa. I have instituted a robust pre investment model that that allows the company to identify and recruit high value pharmacies to partner with in the franchising arm, led acquisition of Inkamed Pharmaceuticals by mPharma Africa BV as well as structuring a hybrid acquisition for independently owned pharmacies and streamlined their operational, financial and administrative reporting to the parent organization. Previously, at Light a life group where I was a CFO, I initiated a Business process reengineering where the company was able to increase its efficiency by over 40% within a period of 6 months, positively affecting the Cost of production and eventually improving the bottom line and was instrumental in setting financial management systems for Bonito Properties Limited, Novastar Ventures, and Light a life Group of companies, HR and procurement policies and procedures. I have also recruited senior finance team members and reorganized the finance department to a highly motivated and high-performance team. I have led systems integration between our internal reporting tools with Business central, efficiently improving the reliability of the reports. Aside from this, I am an entrepreneur with a keen interest in the tech space, acutely aware of the role of technology in democratizing products and services which traditionally are accessible to few at an unnecessarily prohibitive costs. I am a great communicator who values work ethic and integrity. I am an invaluable asset to the institution having worked with diverse companies in both the finance and operational environments
