• Compliance: Ensured the company has all the regulatory requirements to operate within the country which includes Tax and payroll compliance certificates which was key in tender applications
• Audit: the goal is to ensure that we have the Financial audited accounts for tender qualification purposes and other company-related operations
• Debt Collections & Credit Control: Ensured that we always have the cash flow to support our business and daily operations and meet our obligations such as Taxes & Payroll.
• Supplier Payment: Prepared supplier payment schedules factoring in the applicable tax deductions for payment processing. This is after a comprehensive supplier reconciliation has been completed.
• Tax computations: This includes filing PAYE, VAT, WHVAT & WHTAX on a timely basis to always ensure regulatory compliance
• Bank Reconciliation: ensuring proper bookkeeping through bank reconciliation
• Customer Billing/Invoicing: ensuring completeness in the billing of all customers and sharing of updated statements for collection purposes
• Payroll: Computing of monthly wages and salaries and ensuring completeness of the payroll before processing the payment
• Stock Management: Conducting and supervising of stock take, working together with the store manager to ensure stock processes and procedure are followed
• Internal Control Management: Continuous improvement of the controls set by the organization to attain efficiency and effectiveness in day-to-day operations
• Achievements:
• Completed a pending audit that was disqualifying us from winning tenders due to unsigned financial audited accounts
• Consistently ensured that we hit our monthly collections of $600,000 which was above average compared that our monthly turnover was $700,000
• Successfully ensured that we are tax compliant by the filing of taxes and statutory which as a result received compliance certificates that are key in bidding for tenders
• Customer and supplier satisfaction where we can pay all vendors and maintain good rapport with our customers.

• With a daily revenue of $700, I was tasked to ensure that the books are kept in order and support daily operations to cater for the next day
• Cash Flow Management: the goal was to ensure that we had enough cash to buy stock and pay for utilities for the following day
• Customer Service: the goal was to interact with the clients and get feedback on the services we provided which in turn forms our basis of improvement
• Achievements:
• Successfully increased our daily turnover through customer interaction from $700 to an average of $950 by getting customer functions such as graduations and end-year parties

My key responsibilities were as below

• Reconciliation: the goal was to perform full reconciliation of the claims raised from different hospitals
• Filing: the goal was to ensure that all processed working papers go into the files and are sorted accordingly
• Achievements:
• Successfully learned the importance of filing and understood the various modes of sorting paperwork for easier retrieval
• Researched and applied my computer skills which in turn helped me understand why we need systems at our workplaces.
