HSSE Management:

• Implement and monitor HSSE plans to ensure zero Lost Time Injuries (LTIs).
• Support delivery of Mombasa Terminal Annual HSSE plan by implementing assigned roles as per plan. These include participation in Terminal HEMP process, weekly terminal and LPG sectional toolbox meetings, quarterly Terminal Safety Committee & Ops Meetings, daily walkabouts, ERP drills and HSSE incentive scheme. Ensure timely closure of action items and monitor monthly.

Operations Management:

• Oversee daily operations, including LPG bulk offloading, cylinder filling, quality assurance and loading.
• Manage Bulk LPG stocks and Filled LPG cylinder inventory capable of providing On-Time-In-Full availability of filled cylinders to optimally satisfy Coast Region demand efficiently and avoid stockouts.
• Oversee LPG bulk loading process at Supplier depot to ensure timely truck turnaround through engagement of stakeholders as necessary to ensure no product stockouts in Mombasa, Nairobi and Nanyuki Terminals. Raising orders in SAP, promptly uploading on supplier portal and accurate execution of loaded quantities.
• Ensure accurate execution of sales orders as captured in SAP according to Distributors’ LPOs. Generate loading orders, progress delivery notes and invoices in SAP.
• Ensure 100% stock accuracy through daily cycle counts and reconciliations in SAP, promptly investigating and resolving any discrepancies to maintain optimal inventory levels.
  

Equipment Maintenance

• Collaborate with maintenance teams to ensure equipment reliability.
• Plan and execute preventive maintenance activities.
• Troubleshoot and Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns to minimize downtime
  

Compliance and Risk Management:

• Ensure implementation and adherence to regulatory requirements.
• Mitigate risks through effective risk assessment and control strategies.
• Customs compliance: Booking of loaded truck entries in ICMS and verification of issued gate passes. Also ensure all bulk entries from suppliers are accurately and timely received.
  

Health, Safety,Security and Environment & Social Performance.

• Support delivery of Mombasa Terminal Annual HSSE plan by reporting Potential Incidents and performing Monthly Safety Walkabouts.

Operational Excellence:

• Receive Lubricants inventory from SVLK into VEK SAP environment based on physical inventory as produced by LOBP.
• Review Warehouse stock levels with SVLK Warehouse Supervisor daily basis to ensure physical stocks consistent with VEK book stocks.
• Participate in Monthly stock take and sign off VEK inventory.
• Perform daily and monthly cycle counts for non shell branded products.

Stocks Management:

• Manage finished goods inventory capable of providing On-Time-In-Full availability of finished goods at Inland warehouses to optimally satisfy market demand efficiently, avoid out of stock situation and minimize impact on working capital held in unnecessary stocks.
• Monitor In transit and liaise with receiving Warehouse and ensure full delivery as per plan.
• Coordinating all imported lubricants receipt and passing over documentation to Supply Planner for documentation and receipt.

Customer order fulfillment:

• Work with Scheduling/Customer Service/Account managers to have lubes customer orders inserted and trip planned based on available trucks. Ensure customer orders are delivered On time and In Full.
• Ensure physical verification of products before loading and timely dispatch of loaded trucks.
• Ensure timely review of supply drivers for OTIF failures through RCA models that will ensure continuous order fulfillment process improvement.
• Ensure that Customer complaints pertaining to product quality/quantity are handled and resolved within the day of complaint and feedback passed on through relevant stakeholders.
• Responsible for replenishment of third party consignment warehouses, resolving customer service issues, identifying performance issues and trends.

Transportation logistics:

• Manage 14 lubes bridging trucks, Covered wagons and 4 local delivery trucks in liaison with transporters to ensure availability and HSSE requirements.
• Optimize capacity of the available fleet to ensure maximum utilization, reducing on transportation costs.

Performance monitoring:

• Maintain updated Lubricants Dispatch KPIs for improvement monitoring- to be tracked monthly.
• Ensure compliance with relevant management systems certifications, proper records managements including timely and accurate recording of transactions in SAP and the related report submissions.

Continuous Improvement

• Teamed with management on determining annual operational targets and outlining needed quality improvements.
• Managed development and implementation of lean and continuous improvement manufacturing initiatives across production environment.
• Inspected finished products for quality and adherence to customer specifications.
• Prepared reports and technical documentation of day-to-day production processes..

Laboratory (Reporting to Chief Chemist)

• Monitoring receipts of petroleum products from marine vessels and isotainers to tank farm.
• Conducting trials on Formulations of all SVLK lubricants for blending in Mombasa LOBP.
• Ensuring statutory inspections and calibrations are carried out.
• Participate in inter laboratories correlation schemes: LLCS.

Production and Maintenance (Reporting to Production and Maintenance Manager)

• Exercised leadership in promoting teamwork in order to meet customer demands On Time and In Full (OTIF).
• Scheduled and executed production Plan in SAP while ensuring compliance with Shell LQS and minimize re-blends & generation of slops.
• Receiving bulk base oil and additives from ship tankers into LOBP tanks.
• Accounting for stocks of blend components by dipping base oil tanks and running daily base oil tanks reconciliation in SAP, cycle counts for additives, coordinating monthly stock counts, reconciliation and preparation of loss/gain reports.
• Monitoring utilization of plant machinery and ensuring preventive/service maintenance is done as scheduled to reduce downtime.
• Planning and Execution of preventive and breakdown maintenance.
• Ensuring statutory inspections and calibrations are carried out..

HSSE & SP

• Compliance to visible management commitment.
• Enforce Goal Zero culture in Depot (Zero LTIs).
• Uphold HSSE standards at all times by adhering to PPE and participating in HSSE grass root meetings, toolbox meetings and carrying out unsafe act audits.
