Conducted research on the identification of biomarkers for determining the severity of SARS-CoV-2 Beta infection using Deep Learning and RNASeq data analysis; Utilized Generative Adversarial Networks (GANs) to augment dataset size, followed by Recursive Feature Elimination with Cross-Validation (RFECV) using a Random Forest model to select optimal biomarkers; Developed two manuscripts from the study which are under review by the last contributor before submission to a journal.
• Undergraduate Researcher, Université Libre des Pays des Grands Lacs (ULPGL), Goma, DRC, 01/01/20-12/01/20, Supervisors: Prof. Olivier Mushage & Ir. Johnson Kisamba. Designed and implemented a web-based system for managing end-of-year student theses at the University ,ULPGL, which is currently in use by the Faculty.
