Coordinated the production of 3D-printed mask shields during the peak of the COVID-19 pandemic to meet healthcare providers' demands; Produced more than 10,000 mask shields in collaboration with Prof. Jonathan Esole from the Northeastern University.

  • Graduate Researcher, University of Nairobi, Nairobi, Kenya, 03/01/23-09/01/24, Supervisors: Dr. Rosaline Macharia & Prof. Peter Waiganjo. Conducted research on the identification of biomarkers for determining the severity of SARS-CoV-2 Beta infection using Deep Learning and RNASeq data analysis; Utilized Generative Adversarial Networks (GANs) to augment dataset size, followed by Recursive Feature Elimination with Cross-Validation (RFECV) using a Random Forest model to select optimal biomarkers; Developed two manuscripts from the study which are under review by the last contributor before submission to a journal.
  • Undergraduate Researcher, Université Libre des Pays des Grands Lacs (ULPGL), Goma, DRC, 01/01/20-12/01/20, Supervisors: Prof. Olivier Mushage & Ir. Johnson Kisamba. Designed and implemented a web-based system for managing end-of-year student theses at the University ,ULPGL, which is currently in use by the Faculty.
