Attended a 4 days inter-county dialogue on legislation on Sexual and Gender based Violence (SGBV) and Multi-stakeholder forum for the Appraisal of the Kisumu SGBV Policy at Ciala Resort Kisumu. In attendance were, The Kisumu County Deputy Governer, Dr, Mathews Owili, Makueni County Deputy Governor Hon. Adelina Mwau. Kisumu County CEC Education John Awiti among other stakeholders from Makueni, Migori, Kisumu, Narok Kajiado, Meru and Busia. I was privillaged to take part in facilitation on How to engage survivors of sexual Gender based violence and documentation process.

Attended a 3 days Capacity Building training of Civil Society Organizations on engaging the international and Regional Human Right System and Mechanism in Kwale County Diani organized by Equality Now.

Implement all planned project activities with expertise and in a manner that leads to attainment of the project goals and outcomes

Develop activity and budget tracking tools, and use on a monthly basis to track and report on activity and budget management.

Participated in Qualitative research dubbed “Understanding why child Marriage persists in Kenya” as a Research Assistant in Seme Sub County. The objective was to Explore and document the contextual factor that both promotes and prevent child marriage and understand the process by which adolescent girls get married.
This Research was done in Zambia and Kenya and was funded by the David $ Lucile Packard Foundation. The findings from this study offered an insight into the pathways to child marriage in the two counties and to how contextual factor including gender inequity and economic insecurity affect the life course of girls
