  • Supply Chain - Reporting to Estate Manager.
  • Increased area under mechanization by 37% to 97% subsequently lowering the costs by 23%.
  • This was also coupled with other simple cost management initiatives.
  • Improved green leaf quality by 25% therefore reducing losses by 5% with significant contribution to better quality of the end product (made tea).
  • Improved harvesting standards which apart from significantly improving leaf quality also resulted in yield improvement by 5% per unit area.

  • Successfully managed CapEx Project funds for Projects worth KShs 60,000,000 (USD 588,235) annually including overseas purchase of farm machinery & equipment.
  • This also included budget preparation and cost control.
  • Increased area under mechanization in the company by 15% therefore cutting costs which resulted in increase of savings by 29% from harvesting operations.
  • Reduced safety related incidents through specific trainings & improvement of guarding in machinery where elimination was not an option.
  • Successfully worked towards the realization of a Vendor Management Inventory (VMI) for machinery spare parts which apart from improving cash flow to the company also reduced supply lead time from 5 months to a record 1 day & further shortening machinery downtime which resulted in improved Overall Equipment Efficiency (OEE).
  • Through proper planning & sourcing, equipment were supplied on time & in full (OTIF) ensuring sustainability of company operations.
  • Co-ordinated the successful preparation and road transportation of 3, 750, 000 fresh tea cuttings for propagation in Unilever Tea Rwanda (UTR) nurseries while acting for NTD officer.
