(A) Responsibilities of a Computer Studies Instructor

(i)Teaching

  • Course Preparation and Delivery: Develop and update syllabi, lecture notes, and educational materials for various computer science courses. Deliver lectures, lead discussions, and conduct lab sessions.
  • Assessment and Evaluation: Design and grade exams, quizzes, assignments, and projects. Provide timely and constructive feedback to students.
  • Curriculum Development: Stay updated with the latest advancements in computer science to integrate them into the curriculum. Collaborate with colleagues to continuously improve the curriculum.

(ii) Mentoring

  • Student Advising: Offer academic and career guidance to students. Assist students with selecting courses, planning their academic path, and exploring career opportunities.
  • Project Supervision: Guide students in their capstone projects, research, and independent studies. Review and evaluate students’ project work and research papers.

(iii)Research

  • Conduct Research:Engage in research within the field of computer science. Publish findings in academic journals and present at conferences.
  • Collaboration: Work with industry partners, other academic institutions, and interdisciplinary teams on research projects.

(iv) Administrative Duties

  • Project Supervision: Supervise student projects, ensuring they meet technical and safety standards. Assist students with troubleshooting and problem-solving during practical tasks.

(iii) Administrative Duties

  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of student attendance, progress, and assessments. Keep inventory records of workshop supplies and materials.
