Indigenous water sources protection and conservation by ensuring the Water Users Association bodies under the Embu Regional Basin have provided protection in the form of fencing, construction of gravity storage tanks, and water treatment facilities in cases where the water is used directly by the locals. This has increased safety and durability by almost 100%.
Also ensuring there is proper maintenance and non encroachment into the essential indigenous water sources that provide water to the Tana Drainage Basin. This has ensured safety and reliability by almost 100%.
