I have worked as a metrologist at KEBS for about 13 years; and, I have been in charge of Mass Laboratory Section for the past three (3) years. Moreover, through my doctoral studies in Electrical Engineering, I gained over four years management and research experience, in which I supervised students working under my project and successfully designed, developed and implemented a novel scientific measurement instrument, as evident from my research publications. Consequently, this has enhanced my research proficiency, project management, and problem-solving skills, and expanded the scope of my research, metrology knowledge-base, and quality management.
I possess broad-based metrology skills, including mass metrology, temperature, pressure, force, AC/DC to medical calibration. I have an excellent mastery metrological fundamentals and concepts, and often participated as a trainer in various measurement programs, and as a Technical Assessor for KENAS in the field of Mass Metrology. My work experience at KEBS also involves the maintenance and implementation of laboratory quality management system (based on ISO 17025); reviewing, developing and implementing quality documents and calibration methods/procedures; testing and evaluation of measuring equipment such as mass standards, weighing instruments, and moisture-content determination instruments.
