  • Setting up the Warehouses and warehouse operations in Zanzibar, including implementation of Microsoft AX Dynamics.
  • Trained warehouse staff on Warehouse operations, Performance Managements, use of the ERP systems (Oracle FMC, Micros and Microsoft AX dynamics) including Barcode scanning in stock management, which streamlined inventory management procedures, resulting in advanced stock management.

  • Supervising day-to-day operation of the Warehouse and Inventory team effectively and efficiently by tracking performance through daily KPI’s tracking.
  • I also provided oversight to the Retail, Food and Beverage and Kitchen teams to ensure they were undertaking their roles in stock management effectively to prevent variances and financial losses to the company.

  • Spearheaded end-to-end warehouse operations, which included managing a team of over 15 staff working within Warehouse Operations by Conducting Daily team meetings by reviewing the previous days’ performance, planning for the day and providing updates related to daily operations and performance.
  • Conducted training sessions on KPIs and their importance, recommended training programs, and facilitated continuous learning.
  • Also Acted as a crucial link between the warehouse team and management, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration.

  • Prepared the weekly work plans, weekly depot trucks delivery schedule and resource planning requirements in liaison with KWAL Depots teams, Logistics team and Warehousing leadership by reviewing all activities including accomplished, pending, scheduled and stock order cycles.
  • Ensured good warehousing practice and stock management was in place through adherence stores environmental, health, safety, and security policies and procedure by coordinating warehouse operations to support internal and external customers in compliance with environmental, health, safety, and corporate policies and regulations.

  • Managed and supervised all activities of the Engineering Warehouse, including sourcing, receiving, storage, inventory management, logistics and dispatch of all site build materials and spares, ensuring that all processes adhere to the company’s standard operating procedures (SOP’s).
  • Supported the site building teams to build 23 GO TV Transmission stations during the analogue to digital migration by on time delivery of all materials and e.g. Transmitters, Towers, Fencing, Antennas and other site building materials to the construction sites.
  • Assisted with Customs clearance of the site build equipment that were shipped mainly from South Africa by provision of necessary documentation, participating in Customs verification and ensuring all the equipment were placed in the correct HS category codes.
  • Developed and maintained detailed inventory reports, facilitating accurate demand forecasting and replenishment of spare parts for planning, procurement and logistics teams, which improved stock turnover ratios.
  • Developed, implemented, and reviewed operational policies and procedures for sourcing, receiving, handling, storage and dispatch of all engineering department requirements.
  • Developed and checked adherence of Service level Agreements (SLAs) for various service providers e.g. Logistics, Fire Extinguisher service, Air conditioner service, cleaning services, Security Team, First line support team, Spare part providers.
