  • Successfully established a functional and fully fledged unit in the Retention, Adherence, and Community Liaison Department at EGPAF Homabay from scratch, consisting of 8 program officers and over 800 health facility staff within the retention and adherence component in Homabay County, working seamlessly and collaborating with the Ministry of Health and other public health stakeholders.
  • Contributed largely to improving both retention (from 74% in 2016 to 92% in all populations by 2021) and pediatric viral suppression from 51% to 87% across Homabay County, where the current number of clients on treatment is 110,000.
  • Successfully received approval for an oral presentation at the ICASA conference in December 2021 on 'Optimization of a Web-Based Ushauri Platform for Client Appointment Management in Health Facilities: Homabay County, Kenya.'
  • I led my team in the adaptation of the use of technology, EMR, and Ushauri (a bulk SMS appointment management platform) to 164 facilities for client appointment management, which has greatly helped us improve appointment-keeping rates from 70% in January 2019 to an average of 95% now, as well as prompt tracking of clients who miss appointments.
