A dynamic and resourceful Procurement and Supply Chain Management professional with over 11+ years of quality work experience acquired in several challenging roles with the Mandera County Government and A world bank funded and Donor funded project in Kenya. A results-oriented team player who delivers outstanding results in all roles handled. Between September 2017 and June 2023, I was deployed as the County Project Procurement Assistant (CPPA) to Kenya Climate Smart Agriculture Project (KCSAP) and Agriculture Sector Development Support Program (ASDSP II) funded by the World Bank and the Swedish Government. This career progression has equipped me with in-depth knowledge of public sector procurement processes, donor and world bank funded projects procurement processes.

  • The key duties and responsibilities of this appointment is to; Give guidance to procurement of project works, goods and services at county level , Ensuring proper use and conservation of project assets; Preparation of annual county project procurement plans in collaboration with other members of the CPCU, participating wards and submitting same to NPCU for incorporation in the national project procurement plan, Guide the CPCU in the preparation and advertisement of EOI for contracted extension service delivery, TORs, tender and contract documents for specific procurements according to GOK and WB guidelines; Capacity build Farmer Leader structures on procurement according to GOK guidelines and work closely with them on procurement matters Participate in relevant tender committee meetings at the County level and assist with the preparation of committee reports; Maintain high quality procurement files and contract registers for review by supervision missions and auditors; Prepare regular financial and procurement progress reports; Undertaking any other duty assigned by the County Project Coordinator

  • Ensued that all procurement activities are captured in STEP (Systematic Tracking of Exchanges in Procurement) platform for clearance and issuance of no objection.
  • Ensured that all the tendering procedures in the project were adhered to, thereby eliminating issues of malpractices, bias and corruption.
  • Regularly updated the management regarding any concerns and issues during the tendering process which resulted into better procurement decisions.
