As an award-winning journalist and documentary producer with over a decade of experience, I bring a powerful blend of editorial leadership, investigative depth, and human-centered storytelling. From interviewing government leaders to uncovering the plight of stateless communities, my work has consistently driven impact, influenced policy, and earned national and international recognition. With expertise in crafting compelling long-form narratives, managing cross-functional production teams, and mentoring emerging journalists, I thrive on telling the untold — stories that matter.
I produce and contribute to breaking news coverage, script news and feature stories, plan and structure news bulletins, assign stories to writers, and provide voiceovers for various reports.
I lectured university students on core journalism and media subjects, including News Sourcing and Gathering, Broadcast Programming, Broadcast Writing, Video Editing, Media Law and Ethics, Advertising, and Mass Media.
I mentored fellows selected for the Global Health Reporting Initiative by the International Women’s Media Foundation, guiding them in crafting and producing impactful health stories. I also provided editorial support, including story development and final editing.
I led the Education Desk, where I assigned stories to reporters, provided editorial guidance on monthly feature productions, edited content, managed the desk’s budget, and also produced original stories.
I studied Civic Leadership at Indiana University as part of the Mandela Washington Fellowship. Following the program, I was placed at Voice of America in Washington D.C., where I produced and anchored a weekly news segment highlighting and recapping major global stories of the week.
