I don’t believe my cooking is on the same level that you can get at a restaurant, but I can fix a meal with the best of them. I don’t choose to create meals on an assembly line but take great care and caution to prepare what I make with the greatest possible taste and quality. You would never leave the table hungry or dissatisfied if I made you a meal. I enjoy seeing the looks on people’s faces when they take that first bite and they are pleasingly shocked at the taste. I wish I had a nickel every time someone said to me, “you made this?” OR, they look at each other with that side-eye and say that they have to have the recipe because it is so good and then want another helping. Getting another helping is more of a compliment than words can convey. I once fixed breakfast for my parents and extended family. It was the usual breakfast items-scrambled eggs, biscuits and gravy, bacon, ham, fried potatoes, orange juice. It went over so well, I had to start all over as they wanted more. That is a tribute to good cooking. If they go back for seconds or thirds then you have attained a level few home cooks ever get to.
