• Some of my roles as a senior maintenance supervisor; Maintenances planning, technical oversight, resources management and deployments, safety compliance, training, reporting and documentation, budgeting, coordinating with other departments and even emergency response.

• In my role as a Technician at Kenya Ordnance Factories Corporation, I have been actively involved in planning and maintaining critical manufacturing systems. I’ve conducted regular inspections, interpreted complex schematics, and collaborated with engineers to troubleshoot machinery and improve production workflows. My responsibilities have also included enforcing quality and safety standards, maintaining preventive maintenance schedules, and mentoring junior staff to uphold operational excellence.

• Servicing
• Diagnosis of faults and repair methodology
• Transmission systems repairs and maintenance
• Electrical systems including starting, lighting and instrumentation.
• Braking and steering system maintenance.

I was responsible for maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting JCB machinery such as excavators, loaders, and backhoe loaders. It involved conducting daily checks, diagnostics, and servicing both in the workshop and on-site using equipped service vehicles. I also worked closely with the spare parts team to ensure quick and efficient repairs, maintaining accurate service records, and supporting training activities at Ganatra’s Plant & Equipment Training Institute.
