Passionate Associate Professor with over 15 years of experience administering education and classroom procedures both autonomously and in collaboration with department faculty and leaders. Building foundations for next generation of academics and workforce pioneers. My research covers the application of electronics and power electronics in power delivery, especially, the microgrid/smart grids application. It includes a fundamental investigation into alternative control strategies of DC/AC inverters in a microgrid by the methodology of modelling, simulation and practical implementation dealing with microcontrollers/DSPs, sensors, control algorithms, real time systems, rapid prototyping systems (dSPACE, OPAL RT) and programming. I collaborated on research projects worth over £1 million for Smart Grids and power electronics applications.
