· Assess the proposed risk within set standards to accurately determine the risk the business is taking
· Process underwriting transactions such as new business, renewals, endorsements, reconciliations in accordance with underwriting guidelines
· Handle queries on insurance products, making proposals on suitable products
· Liaise with intermediaries and direct clients on issues in relation to their policies to provide correct information to the client
· Issuing of motor certificates and Yellow/ COMESA cards
· Ensure proper filing of client information for easy retrieval of documents.
· Provide accurate data to Customer service team for effective renewal follow up to achieve renewal retention target
· Strengthen the engagement process with the BD team and customers and ensure minimal customer service complaints through; timely response on email and telephone queries, regular accounts reconciliation in liaison with finance team to ensure customer books are up to date.
· Offer excellent customer service and product/process advise to customers
· Ensure 100% compliance to KYC and AML guidelines, 100% compliance to Internal procedures i.e underwriting guidelines and credit control policy.
