Alliance of Civil Society Organizations for Clean Energy Access
01.2021 - Current
  • In this role, am tasked with coordinating advocacy efforts for a just energy transition and climate change adaptation in the Africa region and globally. I coordinate advocacy with Multi lateral Development Banks to ensure the right financing for renewables.
  • I coordinate members in the alliance including providing capacity development, fundraising and advocacy aspects of the organization in climate justice and energy access
  • I build strategic partnerships between the organization and key stakeholders including governments, regional and bilateral partners to advocate the agenda of clean energy access for local rural communities and enhanced coordinated response to climate change.

  • The role involved providing technical support to civil society and private organizations to increase their productivity and build their resilience to climate change
  • The roles provide capacity strengthening for partner organizations to adapt to climate change

  • In this role, I undertook climate advocacy at a global, regional and national level
  • I contributed to policy processes and discussions on climate justice in the kenya and the region working closely with key actors at national and regional levels.
  • In this role I also supported regional and global action on intergovernmental policy processes on climate action including the Paris agreement, the UNFCCC processes, NAPs and NDCs
  • The role involved project management functions including implementation, monitoring and evaluation as well as stakeholder engagement

  • This role involved undertaking project management in interventions to enhance climate adaptation through climate resilient agriculture and use of renewable energy in order to increase resilience of local communities as well as respond to food security issues in Kenya.
  • The role involved capacity building and providing technical support for the communities and civil society organizations in enhancing resilience to climate change.
  • The role was largely engaged in policy influencing through policy research and advocacy to enhance favourable and gender sensitive policies in government and donor funded development interventions
  • Fundraising was a key part of the role to undertake resource mobilization to support efforts in climate change adaptation and renewable energy.
