  • I was part of the team appointed to edit the ICJ compendium on Judicial Decisions arising from the 2017 elections petitions.
  • Acted alongside Mr. Peter Wanyama successfully defended an election petition mounted against the election of Hon. Salim Mvurya is the Governor of Kwale County.
  • Successfully acted for Jared Otieno Kiasa Otieno in a suit filed by the Assets Recovery Agency, seeking forfeiture orders against two luxury motor vehicles registered under his name.
  • Successfully acted for Group Elukia Limited in a suit filed by the Assets Recovery Agency for the recovery of Kshs. 289 million dollars and a luxury vehicle by way of forfeiture proceedings.
  • Acted for Abdi Basid Omar in the successful restructuring of a $200 million facility owing to ASL credit limits.
  • Acted alongside James Chomba Mugo in the enforcement of an arbitral award against the government of the Republic of South Sudan. Subsequent to the enforcement proceedings, we successfully instituted garnishee proceedings against Stanbic Bank Kenya Limited and Citi Bank, where the Republic of South Sudan held monies.
  • Acted for A Plan Insurance Brokers Limited in a suit against Sanlam General Insurance, seeking the recovery of Kshs. 350 million for breach of contract.
  • Acted for Cecilia Naisaie Karbolo and 13 others against the estate of Loontasati Ole Loowouya in a major boundary dispute relating to land in Kajiado County.
  • Acted for Ned Nyoike in enforcing his intellectual property rights in a matter involving copyright infringement.
  • Contributed to the legal work surrounding the cross-listing of an Exchange Traded Fund (ETF) on the Nairobi Securities Exchange, ensuring regulatory compliance, and liaison with capital markets authorities.
  • Played an advisory role in the development of a green procurement fund framework for a corporate client, working closely with the Nairobi Securities Exchange (NSE), focusing on sustainability, compliance, and ESG-aligned investment strategies.

  • I was appointed an Assistant Lecturer at Kabarak University Law School in May 2017, and over the course of my employment, I undertook the following assignments:
  • Served as the Head of the Commercial Law Department, providing leadership to a team of 10 highly accomplished members of staff.
  • Served as the head of the Expert Lecture Series, which coordinated a series of lectures on constitutionalism and governance. During my tenure as head of the series, I invited the following guest, Hon. Rtd. Chief Justice Willy Mutunga, Hon. Justice Prof. Joel Ngugi, Hon. Justice Luka Kimaru, Hon. Anne Amadi, Rt. Hon. Kenneth Lusaka, Hon. Mutula Kilonzo Jr. and Charles Owino. Each of the seven guests spoke passionately on the subject of constitutionalism and governance.
  • Curriculum Review Committee member, who was tasked with reviewing the law school’s curriculum every five years for the purpose of the periodic accreditation process by the Council of Legal Education.
  • I mounted lectures in the following areas of law: contract law, company law, taxation law, cooperatives and partnerships law, judicial review, tort law, constitutional law, social foundations of law, conflict of laws, environmental law, intellectual property law, commercial law, civil procedure and practice, and criminal procedure and practice.
  • Chaired an advisory committee that advised the university leadership on a reorganization of the fourth-year class academic calendar, which introduced a December graduation for the fourth-year class, thereby enabling the class to join the Kenya School of Law in the succeeding year. The previous practice saw the fourth-year class graduate a year after completing their September-December studies, thereby wasting an entire year as their compatriots from other institutions completed their studies at the Kenya School of Law.
