Podcast Production :

  • Working in various roles from reporter to producer, I have pitched, scripted, produced, and directed original podcasts in the field and in-studio that spotlighted the Feminist Internet with :This Feminist Internet Life Podcast, Queer folks on the continent, and in the diaspora with the AfroQueer Podcast, and Unmothering the Woman, a feminist storytelling movement aimed at dismantling stereotypes peddled by societies against women all to tell heartwarming stories.
  • Specific tasks involve audio editing, mixing, scripting, prepping, recording, booking, and pitching.

Media Training :

  • Trained and mentored the first cohort of HEVA Funds' Ascend Media Accelerator programme
  • Collaborated with Social Media Technologies (SMT) to develop and implement digital campaign training and strategies for their global cohort, covering Africa, MENA, Asia, and Europe.
  • I oversaw the technical production, training, and implementation of Rarica Now's communications and social media strategy.

Documentary Production :

  • I oversaw the creative development and filming of different types of video content on behalf of organisations like Womankind, FIMI, INEND, and Unmothering the Woman on a project basis.

Communication Strategy and Branding :

  • Helped shape audience-relevant communications and branding strategies based on a deep understanding of company values, personas, needs, priorities, and trends for Pride in Action (KE) and Rarica Now (CA).
  • Oversaw preparation of marketing copy, images, videos, emails, and other collateral for Unmothering the Woman.
  • Developed creative design for print materials, brochures, reports, and more for various organisations, including most recently, The Grassroots Business Fund for their Jiinue Growth Program.

Creative Events :

  • I worked in partnership with The Nest and other consultants in developing, creating, and actualizing Strictly Silk: an all-female + non-binary dance party that looked into creating safe spaces for both revelers and artists to self-express. For this project, I was involved in DJ Training, Podcast Episode Production & Live DJing.
