- Oversee the activities of the Ministry of Petroleum and all the reform enshrined in the peace Agreement.
Some achievements
- successfully conducted Cost Recovery Audit of the oil field activities in the Country by KPMG and E&Y audit firms.
- Initiated an environmental audit of the oil fields .
- Constructed and Commissioned the first ever South Sudan’s National Digitized Data Centre
- Development and Operationalization of the Unified Human Resources Policy Manual (HRPM-2020)
- Empowered and increased the participation of Women in the Petroleum Value Chain through extensive institutional diversity initiatives and programs.
- Operationalization of the Petroleum Local Content Regulation 2019
- Conducting an intensive Training and Development programs to help enhance the competency of all Employees of the Ministry of Petroleum.
- Improved the relationship between the host communities and the Operating Companies through continuous engagement, communications and dialogue.
- Lunched the first ever Licencing Round in South Sudan to promote open Oil Blocks
- Currently Constructing a New Head Quarter (HQ) for the Ministry of Petroleum
- Publishing of our Annual Petroleum Reports
