  • At Kangundo level IV Hospital as a staff nurse in the medical/surgical wards
  • The department caters for different types of patients which include medical, surgical and trauma patients including referrals from different hospitals within the locality and neighboring counties
  • General duties:
  • Drug administration which includes intravenous, intramuscular, subcutaneous, oral, topical and nebulization
  • Stabilizing patients collecting samples for lab works, assisting in airway management and emergency care of different casualties
  • Receiving patient’s reports and handing-over reports at the end of a shift so as to ensure that there is continuity of care
  • Performing neurovascular exam to patients on traction and fractures in general
  • Monitoring patient’s progress and giving reports to doctors and other health-workers participating in care of patients
