Project: KENYA EXPORT POTENTIAL IN THE USA PRIORITY PRODUCTS AS PER THE NATIONAL EXPORT STRATEGY

• Extracted and organized data for various sectors (Floriculture, Horticulture, Herbs and Spice, Fish and fish products, Coffee, Tea, Manufactured products, Textile and Apparel, Mineral products, Handicraft products) from 2015 to 2020.
• Estimated export potential between Kenya and the USA using ITC trade map.
• Conducted trend analysis and growth rate calculations.

• Extracted and compiled data for Agriculture, Manufacturing, Livestock, and Minerals sectors at various levels.

Project: AGROCHEMICAL ASSOCIATION OF KENYA (AAK) SURVEY ON COUNTERFEIT PEST CONTROL PRODUCTS

• Collaborated on accurate data collection for consumer awareness.
• Conducted thorough data cleaning and preprocessing.
• Determined consumers’ awareness levels.
• Estimated volume and value of illicit pest control products using the International Trade Method.

Project: BASELINE SURVEY ON THE EXTENT OF COUNTERFEIT AND ILLICIT TRADE IN KENYA

• Utilized ITC trade map for data mining on selected commodities.
• Analyzed trends and prevalence of counterfeit and illicit trade.
• Automated the processes of data analysis and report generation using R markdown.
• Analyzed data on Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) and non-IPR holder firms involved in counterfeit and illicit trade.

• Designed an initial dialogue of infilling missing values in R-instat that enabled a better way for visualizing and infilling climatic data
• Improved and tested an initial dialogue of infilling missing values in R-instat this included incorporating summaries and visuals of missing values
• Identified and explored an existing datasets on hydrology in R packages
• Reviewed both literature and packages in R for hydrology then conducted hydrological modelling such as stream flow analysis

• Conducted a research study on modelling climate variability on CDC oil palm production over a period of seven years
• Automated the processes of extracting, transforming, and loading datasets from excel files to R for analysis
• Performed trend analysis and data visualization then developed models to identify the relationship between palm oil yield and climate variables
• Developed, tested and validated regression model upon which we concluded that 69.9% of yield was accounted for by the climate variables
• Documented the findings and provided recommendations for the efficiencies and improvement of palm oil operation, which were presented to both technical and non-technical group.
