  • Facilitated the processing and shipment of Gel Permeation Chromatography (GPC) and Gas Chromatography (GC) donated equipment from Domino Printing Science, UK.
  • Developed Veenky Naturals Limited Company supported by the University Management.
  • Enhanced research activities within the department of chemistry and the Natural Products Center.
  • Designed, developed and implemented a new course, (CHEM 150) that started as an experimental course, but later approved by the university to serve as a smooth transition from general chemistry to organic chemistry.
  • Designed and synthesized RNA molecules with therapeutic application in RNA interference.
  • Developed protocol for automated solid phase chemical synthesis of amide modified RNA analogues.
  • Developed methods for modified RNA purification using Reverse-Phase HPLC chromatography and flash chromatographic techniques.
  • Performed biophysical characterization to establish the secondary structure of modified RNA analogues using spectroscopic methods such as: NMR, UV melting, Circular dichroism, and DSC techniques.
  • Synthesized amide-linked short interfering RNAs (siRNAs); and studied their RNA interfering activities in collaboration with scientists from Thermo Fisher Scientific (Formally, Dharmacon inc.).
  • Mentored 105 undergraduate students in research on the RNA project 2007-2013.
  • Played active role in a collaborative project involving scientists from pharmaceutical company and other higher institutes of research. At the end of the project, the research attracted funding of USD. 1.5 M.
