  • Managing ten high volume Safe Spaces within Central and North Karachuonyo wards (SNUs) located in informal settlements in Homabay
  • Through partnerships and collaborations, identification and enrollment of 1058 vulnerable Adolescent Girls and Young Women (AGYW); whose vulnerabilities expose them to risks of HIV prevalence, violence and unintended pregnancies, from link-health facilities, Directorate of Children Services, Schools and Youth organizations within respective SNUs
  • Coordinating trainings of support staff and relevant stakeholders on child safeguarding policies and enforcing them. Trainings are done at least one per month.
  • Liaise with link facilities to support in conducting HIV testing to include education to those without information about HIV testing
  • Coordinate delivery of violence and HIV prevention services to beneficiaries to include evidence based behavioral interventions inclusive of SASA and condom/contraceptives education
  • Working closely with link-health facilities to refer and link beneficiaries for Family planning education and uptake
  • Supporting beneficiaries to create social networks through different social asset building activities. It is from these social networks they are able to access SRH services

  • Creating and promoting awareness on HIV/AIDS through roadshows and plays
  • Mobilizing youth within Siaya community, from remote areas, to seek circumcision, method of preventing new infection, aiming at achieving epidemiological control. Managed to mobilize 56 adult males and 41 young boys to get circumcised in just under three months.
  • Documenting and preparing data on HIV/AIDS cases and number of people circumcised weekly.
  • Encouraging youth within Siaya community to have themselves regularly tested for HIV/AIDS. 97 young and adult males were able to know their HIV status.
