- Executes corrective actions when results were outside specified limits during performance of daily quality control testing as well as participating in EQA
- Analyzes, identifies and resolves both normal and abnormal specimen results based on established reference ranges
- Properly documents any communicate with licensed clinical staff or requesting doctor about established critical and alert values for all patients
- Maintains above 90% of turnaround times (< 40 minutes) for lab results sent by the Emergency Department.
- Advances patient care by urgently and respectfully resolving questions, issues and grievances by physicians, nurses and other clinical staff.
- Maintains certification with Kenya Medical Laboratory Technicians and Technologist board (KMLTTB) and currently preparing for ASCP for Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS).
- Maintains confidentiality of all patient information to conform to HIPAA, internal and other regulatory standards.
