• Coordinated the timely and efficient implementation of the UNICEF education project. Provided overall leadership, and oversee the implementation of the project in the target county.
• Build a working relationship at the county level with all the education stakeholders including the committee that provided technical oversight of the project from the Ministry of Education and UNICEF.
• Provided child protection to Out of School Children (OOSC) who have been enrolled to school. These services included psychosocial support, rescue and alternative family care for enrolled children in need of care & protection liaising with the county directorate of children services.
• Build capacity of stakeholders to achieve and sustain results of the OOSC education project in the county.

• Oversees in consultation with the County Government the operation and management of youth polytechnics, pre-primary, and Early Childhood education care.
• Plan, promote, develop, and coordinate education, training, and research in the County by the provisions of the Basic Education Act and finally putting measures in place to ensure all children in the County attend and stay in to complete primary education.
• Monitored and developed an ongoing county education enrolment drives in the County.
• Developed comprehensive reports, enabling management to make informed decisions based on accurate data analysis of the education sector in Baringo County.
• Approved education centres for registration.

• Liaised with the Education Coordinator to enhance access for out of school children to enrol in the primary schools and rescue girls subjected to FGM, early marriages and other forms of abuse directed to children.
• Facilitated Empowerment of girls, boys,and women in the focus sub-counties by building their capacity to raise their voices to oppose harmful practices, and ultimately contribute to breaking the intergenerational cycle of poverty and discrimination.
• Undertook community engagements, mobilization and

sensitization in the various forums.

• Educate community members on the importance of education and encourage them to enrol their children to the public schools.

• With existing community structures, I advocated for the rights of pastoralist women and girls by advocating against harmful traditional practices (FGM & Child Marriages) and protecting girls from all forms of gender-based violence.
• Successfully pioneered community engagement social change communication model, conducted Alternative Rite of Passage for girls, rescued vulnerable girls from FGM, forced child marriages, and enrolled them for formal education.

• Assisted schools in Tiaty West in providing safe and healthy spaces for girls who have ran away from child marriages through capacity building and community engagement meetings.
• Built peer support networks and girl-led school clubs to act as safe spaces for girls to express themselves and seek for help in case in trouble.
• Conducted radio talk shows with vernacular radio stations to demystify community negative perceptions and attitudes towards girls'paricipation to formal education.
• Rescued girls from Female Genital Mutilation and child marriage during Covid-19 pandemic and took them to a safe house in Nginyang.
