A dedicated and experienced educator with over nine years of teaching Physics and Chemistry at the high school level, currently pursuing an MSc in Physics with a focus on Material Science at Maseno University. My academic journey has equipped me with a strong foundation in advanced topics such as Thin Film Technology, Statistical Mechanics, and Solid State Physics. I am actively engaged in research on the " Optimization of Thermal Energy Storage Systems Using Locally Available Phase Change Materials for Solar Thermal Applications in Kenya ," which demonstrates my commitment to advancing knowledge in Material Science.
Throughout my teaching career, I have consistently fostered a deep understanding of Physics among my students by employing innovative teaching methods and relating scientific concepts to real-world applications. My extensive experience in the classroom has honed my ability to communicate complex ideas effectively, nurture critical thinking, and inspire a passion for science in my students. I am eager to transition into a Tutorial Fellow role, where I can contribute to both teaching and research within the academic community.
Learning Assessments
In addition to my academic and research qualifications, I bring experience as a Church Administrator. This role has honed my skills in organization, communication, and leadership. I have been responsible for overseeing various administrative functions, coordinating events, and managing communication between church members and leadership. These experiences have equipped me with a strong ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently, work collaboratively with diverse groups, and handle sensitive issues with discretion. I believe these skills are highly transferable and will contribute positively to my role as a Tutorial Fellow.
