I am excited to apply for the Gender Case Worker position at Shining Hope for Communities in Nairobi. With extensive experience in gender equity, social inclusion, and case management, I am eager to contribute to your organization’s mission by ensuring effective support and advocacy for gender-based violence (GBV) survivors and vulnerable populations. For the past 4 years, I have worked in gender mainstreaming, case management, and community outreach. At Child Welfare Society of Kenya, I performed assessments to gather psychosocial information for new cases, maintained detailed case files, and conducted regular follow-ups to ensure timely progress. I have successfully coordinated client care services, including medical examinations, legal reporting, and referrals to social services, ensuring survivors receive adequate protection and justice. My experience in monitoring and following up on case progress, as well as my ability to lead gender desks in community settings, aligns with Shining Hope for Communities (Shofco) objectives. My professional qualifications in social work and gender studies, combined with additional training in child protection and counseling, equip me to excel in this role.
