  • Dream VC is Africa’s foremost venture capital institute, powered by an active investor network hailing from 40+ countries globally, collectively managing over $6.6bn assets under management. The Investor Accelerator program is a venture capital fellowship focused on helping seasoned senior career professionals pivot into investing, with a keen focus on leadership development.
  • Throughout the program, I trained in deal sourcing, market sizing, valuation, due diligence, portfolio strategy and exit pathways. I also gained practical experience defending deals, collaborating with peers across global markets, and building conviction around emerging opportunities.

I have had various roles from team lead to quality assurance and currently revenue specialist. My roles have involved:

  • Managing revenue management strategies and processes: This involves planning, organizing, and directing revenue management activities. Understanding pricing policies, accurate and timely recording and reporting of income.
  • Managing an operations team in ensuring that our services meet the highest standards of quality. This involves identifying areas for improvement and implementing the changes.
  • Client Management: Managing clients’ relationships and expectations and ensuring that their needs are met through weekly check-ins to follow through with our KPI’s targets. I also review and update current policies and protocols used by the clients.
  • Team Management: I managed a team of 11 working with 4 clients at a time, I ensure the team have all the resources and support they need. Including coaching, goal setting, constructive feedback, and coaching. All while ensuring the clients’ SLA’s are met.
  • Finally, reporting on our quality metrics and progress to senior management and clients. I provide regular updates on our performance, areas that needed improvement, and make recommendations where necessary while maintaining the company’s culture.
