As a dedicated advocate and certified professional mediator, I have cultivated a strong foundation in legal practice, conflict resolution, and justice. Mediation has further strengthened my ability to facilitate meaningful dialogue, build consensus and drive lasting resolutions. Guided by integrity and fairness, I approach every challenge with a solutions-focused mind-set, ensuring that my work contributes to accessible and transformative justice.
a) Administrative functions – handling the day to day administrative functions in the office; ensuring that we have functioning technology, office supplies, scheduling appointments, replying to correspondences and management of client files.
b) Compliance and ethics – keeping abreast with legal developments, attending continuous professional development training, renewing my Practicing Certificate and ensuring that the firm operates within the confines of the law.
c) Strategic planning and growth – finding new ways to grow the practice through upskilling, networking and involvement in CSR activities that would increase visibility in the community. In the same breadth, looking at the larger picture and making plans for the future of the firm.
d) Overall management of the firm – this involves management of the finances whilst ensuring that all bills are sorted out, office rent and service charges, ensuring a smooth running of the office. Devising ways to acquire more clients’ i.e. through marketing by way of business cards and building of a website.
e) Legal Services – providing legal advice, which may include but not limited to reviewing contracts, providing counsel on legal matters and representation in court. This also entails thorough research, drafting of legal documents and coming up with legal strategies and roadmaps to be followed when handling the client’s case. Finally, keeping the client updated on the progress of their matter.
a) As a certified professional mediator, I am equipped with the knowledge and skill to engage parties and aid them reach a settlement to avoid protracted litigation
b) As both a lawyer and a trained mediator, I am an effective at communicator, which helps me communicate with clients and address the court to advance persuasive arguments that would give my clients favourable outcomes
c) As a frequent court user, I am highly proficient in the use of technology, in line with the Judiciary’s reliance on technology I can successfully navigate and use the Case Management Systems, attended to my matters through virtual courts, and equipped with Cyber Security knowledge to help me secure and keep client’s information confidential
d) As a treasurer Kericho Chapter 2024 – 2026 I am keen on cultivating my leadership skills to help me inspire junior colleagues and to create a collaborative and inclusive legal environment

2. Provision of Support to Kipchamgaa Children’s Home, Kericho County
3. Involved in the Friends of Children in Conflict and Contact with the Law, an initiative by staff of Kericho Law Courts to provide support and food items to children in conflict with the Law.
4. Through the legal aid and legal awareness initiatives by LSK, I team up with colleagues from Kericho Chapter to offer support to prisoners at the Prisons situated in Kericho County.
5. Contributions to Humanity First Home Organization aimed at supporting orphans, drilling of wells and purchase of the Holy Quran.
6. Together with the Ustadh, Kericho Main Prison, we have conducted food drives to come up with Food to sustain Muslim inmates during the holy month of Ramadan.
7. I have been involved in rescue mission when called upon by various CBOs and NGOs including Usikimye CBO, Wangu Kanja Foundation amongst others to help children in volatile or hostile environments and survivors of Sexual and Gender Based Violence by identifying them, helping them get the necessary psychosocial support and getting them to safe houses.
8. Offer support when called upon to victims and survivors of SGBV through handling their cases on pro bono basis.
9. Handling pro bono matters especially those involving children in conflict with the law and aiding with their reintegration into the society.
10. Sensitization of masses on various media platforms i.e Tiktok wherein we speak on various issues; legal and social issues for instance, mental health.
