• During my tenure in Sanlam Investments management, I oversaw the implementation of an in-house system of reporting and internal controls and achieved a four year run of clean audits post system implementation.
• Was a key consult in my team in Ernst & Young on interpretation and application of International Financial reporting Standards( IFRS) and the key drafter of consultation memo's for any technical committee consultations for our team
• As a volunteer Finance Director (for six years), I steered the turn-around strategy of Fresh Produce Exporters Association of Kenya within a period 4 years from negative to positive reserves.
• I successfully led the Equatorial Blooms team in the application and appraisal process to win a grant for the small holder farmers from the Maendeleo Agricultural Enterprise Fund ( MAELF) under Farm Africa. The grant application and appraisal process was administered by an independent consultant –IDEV International.

• Savannah Fresh Horticultural Cooperative Limited (SAFHCO), A cooperative established via the assistance of Syngenta Foundation to group and promote the marketing of the horticultural products of member farmers. I participated as a co-lead consultant in the drafting and initial implementation of the business plan to drive the cooperatives from initiation to fruitful production and marketing of French beans and other horticultural products. Led the implementation of the financial and accounting systems to assist the Cooperative achieve financial controls.
• Agriculture Pillar - Kenya Partnership on Development Data, (Ministry of Agriculture- Kenya), Upon invitation through the Office of Cabinet Secretary for Agriculture- I participated as a member within the Agricultural pillar on Kenya Partnership on Development data.
• Equity Bank Foundation, Upon invitation through the General Managers office- I participated in the review of the curriculum developed by Equity Bank Foundation for use as training modules for agronomists. My relevant participation was in the crafting of the marketing modules for farmers wishing to sell in local and international (export markets).
• Agriprofocus – Youth In Agribusiness Caravan, I am an active participant within the Agriprofocus – Youth in Agribusiness forum. A forum that seeks to bring together youths who have invested in the agribusiness value chains for purposes of networking and seeking solution based approaches to tackling of common problems within the various value chains.
