SDSN is an initiative by the United Nations that comprises of youth who come up with ways of promoting practical solutions for sustainable development and implementing Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Volunteer Experience

Aiesec, Rwanda, 01/01/19 - 02/28/19

I was privileged to volunteer in Rwanda through the Global Volunteer program run by Aiesec. I was able to volunteer for 2 months at a children's rehabilitation centre, Oeuvre Humanitaire Pour La Protection Et Le Developpement De L'enfant En Difficulte. The centre is a safe haven for street kids where they get food, shelter, clothes and education. I was teaching basic mathematics and English skills, played with the kids at the centre and helped them do homework.


Johari Project , Nairobi, 01/01/18 - 03/31/18

My friends and I participated in the 2018 Univ Congress. Univ Congress is an annual international university congress that takes place in Rome during the Holy Week. Each year a theme is chosen and young people come up with solutions. The 2018 theme was 'Rethinking the future' and we opted to focus on education. I was teaching the ladies in the housekeeping department at Strathmore University as well as administering tests and preparing their assignments. Moreover, I researched on videos that helped them articulate their pronunciation.
