• Conducting periodical monitoring on quality improvement projects and provide technical advice to the various work improvement teams

During my time at St. Joseph's Hospital as a Senior Medical officer, I joined the faculty of St. Joseph's Medical Training College Nyabondo as a part time lecturer. My duties included:

• Taking on units to teach as required by each department
• Continuous assessment of students
• Setting and marking of exams
• Following up students in the practicum sites and impartation of practical skills

My duties at Gertrude's Childrens Hospital included:

• Clerkship of patients in outpatient clinics
• Discerning of patients with need for inpatient management and initiating the admission process
• Handling of emergencies
• Minor procedures such as stitching of minor wounds, surgical toileting and ear syringing
• Discerning patients with need for specialised treatment and appropriate referral such patients
• Holding continuous medical education seminars from time to time on various topics
