· Supervise field officers in; the hiring of enumeration teams and the training of enumeration teams on quantitative, qualitative and spatial data collection tools and methodology. .

· Ensure that REACH assessment field activities in Kenya are in line with relevant program objectives, IMPACT’s research cycle and other relevant guidelines.

· Ensure Field program activities in the Country are in compliance with ACTEDs logistics, financial and security SOPs.

· Ensure regular situation updates on data collection is properly communicated. Provide support and follow up on identified challenges during the data collection process.

· in close coordination with GIS/DB team and enumerators will clean and manage qualitative, quantitative and spatial data collected..

· Responsible for communicating with relevant ACTED departments on upcoming and ongoing field activities to ensure smooth and timely preparation and approval of required processes.

· Foster strategic partnerships with key stakeholders in the field; establish and maintain a network of Local stakeholders to ensure the smooth running of field activities.

· Establish and maintain a good working relationship with REACH partners in the field.

· Be responsible for coordinating field movement, ensuring all logistical and financial requirements are timely met.

· In coordination with Assessment Officers and the REACH FLATs officer, coordinate the preparation and ensure approval of all required logistical, financial and HR documents prior to data collection.

· The Field manager will follow up regularly with field officers in all bases to ensure these documents are submitted in a timely manner.

· Ensure a strict adherence to ACTED’s security SOPs.

· Be responsible for all REACH assets in the field (computers, GPS devices, smartphones, etc.) at their operational base, and will need to work with the REACH Management and ACTED Logistics to ensure serviceability of assets

Assessment Preparation and Training.

· Undertake travel and conduct preliminary planning missions in assessment sites.

· In coordination with the REACH Field Specialist prepare all details related to data collection (field schedule, daily collection quote, logistics and administration) according to specified methodology

· Coordinate and plan assessment team training.

· Facilitate sessions of the assessment training.

Data collection

· Provide regular support to the REACH collection team leaders.

· Follow all guidance from REACH Country Coordinator and REACH Assessment officer while in the field; ask questions when necessary

· Accompany all data collectors in the field and ensure accurate data collection as specified in the methodology.

· Ensure care of all REACH inventory including daily check of assessment mobile phones

Data Validation

· Download all data from the mobile phones at the end of each data collection day

· Spot-check online database for accuracy at the end of each day; question team leaders about any inaccuracies observed and review in daily team debriefs.

· Is manual data is used spot-check data entries against hard copy surveys for accuracy daily

· Perform data cleaning at the end of each assessment day.

Reporting

· Prepare final assessment reports including lessons learned, incidents and timeframe.

· Assist in preparation of assessment factsheets and consolidated reports.

External Coordination

· Coordinate field operations with participating agencies.

· Coordination with local authorities and agencies

· Report regularly to agency focal points about assessment progress and any changes to the plans
