Collaborated with the agricultural team to implement and monitor quality control measures in vegetable farming, ensuring high standards for produce quality and sustainability for Export market and local market as well. Key responsibilities included:

  • Produce Quality Assurance: Monitored and analyzed quality metrics, including dry matter content, firmness, color, soluble sugar levels, and titratable acidity. Utilized these parameters for sorting, grading, and packaging produce for market readiness.
  • Sensory Evaluation: Conducted sensory evaluations to assess produce ripeness, texture, and overall quality using sight, smell, touch, and occasional taste tests, ensuring consistent standards. For the sweet melon Acoustics was used too,thus hearing was vital.
  • Soil Quality Management: Evaluated soil health and fertility through routine assessments so as to adjust the fertilizer dosage accordingly. Fertilizer was being administered routinely twice a day though irrigation water.
  • Crop Rotation Practices: Assisted in implementing crop rotation strategies to enhance soil organic matter and maintain long-term soil productivity. After the season of say Cucumber we would plant tomato instead of repeating the same crop.
  • Data Recording and Analysis: Maintained detailed records of quality metrics and provided insights to optimize farming practices and enhance yield efficiency. The records of color, firmness or any quality parameter that was measured was kept and analyzed for future reference.
