Matt Alderton is a professional writer, editor and journalist who specializes in narrative journalism, feature writing and branded content. Self-employed since 2007, he has over a decade of publishing experience, having written hundreds of articles for dozens of publications - both print and digital - including magazines, newspapers, websites and newsletters. Matt is a subject-matter expert in business, technology, sustainability, design, associations, entertainment, travel, food and politics, although he's written articles about subjects as diverse as classic cars, drones, droughts, project management and Beanie Babies. (That's right: Beanie Babies.) Although he cut his teeth in journalism and publishing, Matt also flexes his writing muscles on behalf of corporate clients, and has worked on scores of corporate writing projects, including marketing campaigns, press releases, books and blogs. Matt has a bachelor's degree in journalism from Northwestern University's Medill School of Journalism, where he studied magazine journalism, and a master's degree in creative writing, also from Northwestern. He lives on the Northwest Side of Chicago with his partner and their dog, Roxy, who shares his love for sunshine and cheeseburgers.
I believe in engaging storytelling - whether my subject is a fascinating politician, a remarkable business or a complicated (and seemingly boring) technology.
