  • The Kenya NLD Phase 2 Project, utilizing the Kenya Railways Right of Way, involved the construction of a 1,491 Kilometer hybrid fiber-optic route (comprising both overhead and underground segments) from Mombasa, Kenya, to Malaba at the Kenya-Uganda border, with an extension to the border town of Busia.
  • The project commenced in December 2023 with passive construction completed in July 2024. Installation and configuration of the DWDM equipment was finalised in August 2024, officially marking the route as ready for commercial traffic.
  • I served as the Project Lead for the project from Design, CAPEX Approval, Getting Wayleave Approvals, Contractor Sourcing, Contractor evaluation & contracting, Day to day supervision of both passive and active elements of the project, Project CAPEX management, and Project Closure.
  • Project Completed on time and on budget.
