His most recent appointment was C.E.O, Taka NI Mali an NGO that deals with Environmental Conservation and Circular Economy. During his tenure at the NGO, Mr. Mabwai managed programs which are donor funded through Ministry of Environment, Climate Change and Forestry and select County Governments. He has also been engaged as a Climate Change expert in implementing both short-term and long-term advisory and capacity strengthening programmes with County Government Projects on Waste management and Climate Change.

• Build alliances and partnerships with County Government and other stakeholders.
• Plan, develop, implement and direct the organization4s operational and Fiscal function and performance in all 7 counties.
• Provide direction on the cooperative movement of Taka ni Mali groups in different counties where our programs are operationalized where members of 5200 are directly involved. Analyze and make recommendations on the impact of long-range growth initiatives, planning, and introduction of new strategies and regulatory actions.
• Develop credibility and authority for the Finance leadership team by providing accurate analysis of budgets, reports and Financial trends and operational procedures in order to assist the ’OD and senior executive team.
• Create, improve, implement and enforce policies and procedures of the organization that will improve the operational and financial effectiveness of the company.
• Communicate effectively and establish credibility throughout the organization and with the Board of Directors as an effective developer of solutions to business challenges.
• Improve the planning and budgeting process on a continual basis by educating departments and key members of corporate leadership.
• Work with the Finance team to develop a solid cash flow projection and reporting mechanism, which includes setting a minimum cash threshold to meet operating needs.
