· Participate in thought leadership drives such as industry trainings on key changes in the insurance industry both from regulatory and reporting standards standpoint.
· Responsible for checking accuracy and completion of various actuarial projects according to the internally developed and generally accepted actuarial standards while ensuring compliance with all the prevailing jurisdictional regulations.
· Presenting Actuarial results to Management and Boards of insurance companies and recommending remediate actions where necessary
· Carrying out data checks and reconciliations for actuarial valuations.
· Assisting in statutory insurance Liability valuations and computing the Risk Based Solvency positions of insurance companies.
· Assisting in carrying out valuations of Defined Benefits (DB) Pension Schemes liabilities and calculating member benefits for DB Schemes.
· Assisting in supporting Business Development initiatives by preparing tenders and proposals required to pitch for a new service offering.
· Preparing presentations for communication of results of the valuations to the client.
· Manage and provide actuarial consultancy services to a part of the portfolio of clients in the General Insurance Consulting division.
· Oversee the training and development of Actuarial Analysts joining the team to ensure that their work complies to the internal processes and standards
· Reviewing and undertaking various actuarial projects including General Insurance Reserving and Capital Modelling, Pricing and Product Development, Asset Liability Management among others.
· Reviewing and assisting in management presentations of the results of various actuarial projects.
· Technical lead in special projects such as Reinsurance Optimisation and offering consulting in mergers and acquisitions for insurance companies.
· Taking ownership of research initiatives and participating in strategic projects that lead to the development of new service offerings.
· Supporting Business Development initiatives by identifying new business opportunities and preparing and/or reviewing tenders and proposals
· Assisting in debt collection through timely raising of invoices and debt collection while also escalating to senior management cases of potential bad debts.
