LoiseIrene Nyawira Maina

Nyawira is an enthusiastic aspiring music and sports Educator. Being in the final year of her undergraduate degree, and having undergone teaching internships, she has continued to harness her leadership skills, instructional skills as well as her relational skills in the work environment. Additionally, with a growth mindset, she has continued to polish her skills in Violin playing and fitness instruction, while being intentional about obtaining proficiency in music theory instruction.

The Millennium Fellowship, which launched in 2013, is a 10 session, semester-long leadership accelerator to improve their student organizations, partnerships, and community impact.

Serving in the campus director role the following skills were harnessed;

• Team management, navigating careers in social impact, Delegation, Honing your pitch, Goal setting and Developing partnerships among others

• Participated in goal setting and career development planning.
• Developed and conceptualized strategies for overcoming saboteurs deterring progress.
• Revised areas of knowledge and skills needed to be developed for goal attainment.
