I am a 26 Year old Kenyan Advocate who is passionate about women's rights, gender equality and empowerment of women and girls. I volunteer and assist women through pro bono briefs in succession disputes and custody and maintenance disputes. I am also a court annexed mediator and I have come to the realization that women are still disinherited even in the 21st Century. There is a deep rooted patriarchy that fails to recognize the rights of women even though the law as far back as 1980 recognizes the right of women to inherit. As a female lawyer through my practice I am dedicated towards achieving gender equality andthe empowerment of all women and girls.
