  • Designed, planned and coordinated strategic campaigns in line with the intended outcomes of the KECOSCE's organizational strategic plan and as well as those of projects implemented under different programs.
  • Trained a team of digital monitors and led them to conduct public campaigns against radicalization of the youths and women to prevent violent extremism and terrorism in the coastal region of Kenya. These campaigns reached an approximation of 100,000 social media users and locals. This was achieved through one on one with community members in public barazas, virtually through zoom and X spaces (formerly Twitter) as well as through Whatsapp and facebook.
  • I excelled in monitoring and reporting human rights violations, particularly instances of police ignorance and brutality, focusing on minority communities such as marginalized tribes, refugees, and vulnerable groups including women, Persons With Disabilities (PWDs), and youths. My expertise lies in the meticulous documentation of conflicts related to human rights violations, utilizing various tools, including proficiency in the online USHAHIDI platform.
  • Trained the human right monitors and paralegals on Early Warning Early Response to spearhead monitoring, reporting and documenting of the human rights violation before, during and after the general elections.
  • Identified and managed development and implementation of program funding activities. Making financial requests through imprest to support implementation of project activities. This also involves accounting for t he finances acquired through provision of surrender documents.
  • Participated in conferences, seminars and other professional development activities to maintain and enhance expertise and professional status. This includes coordination meetings with partner CSOs to update on the progress of programs implementation within the organization.
  • Supported the organization's research efforts. I supported the consultants contracted by KECOSCE to conduct a research on the status and contribution of CSOs in social, political and economic development in the coastal region of Kenya whereby the outcome of this was production of a position paper for the CSOs that was submitted to UNDP in October 2023.
  • Managed the organization's visibility on social media platforms. I achieve this by coordinating the collection of relevant programs information, compiling of communication materials such as media briefs, weekly roundups and newsletters.
  • Supervision of junior staff, interns and volunteers to ensure they remain productive and learn in the process as directed by Organization Development Manager.
  • Developed and maintained collaborative partnerships with stakeholders such as the Independent Policing Oversight Authority (IPOA), the County Security Intelligence Committees (CSIC) the Civil society organizations resulting in improved collaboration in mitigating human right violations for effective program implementation

  • Led the development and implementation of comprehensive training curricula, manuals, and materials, including the KECOSCE Conflict Early Warning Early Response Practitioners’ Manual enhancing KECOSCE organization’s peace building initiatives targeting the youths, the general public and the state law enforcement agencies in Mombasa, Kilifi and Kwale counties.
