• Managing implementation of identified ICT projects based on a broad and detailed knowledge of current and emerging technologies and providing technical input into these projects
• Lead in Cloud Implementation & administration by leveraging scalable solutions on cloud and integrating with on-prem DC
• Managing contracts with external vendors and service providers and ensuring adherence to set SLA
• Developed and implemented performance improvement strategies and plans to promote continuous improvement

Operational Management

• Cloud Deployment of workloads, troubleshooting and Implementation of best practices
• Ensure design of an optimized network, server, virtualized and storage infrastructure on both on-Premise and Cloud
• Design of customer centric solutions on Cloud with keen focus on DevOps methodologies

Strategy & Planning

• Make recommendations to improve systems, network and application security in Group projects
• Collaborate with IT Shared Services and IT Architecture & Innovation teams to ensure systems, applications and networks are secure by design (On Premise and Cloud)
• To ensure business requirements are accurately reflected in future technology plans and that senior decision-makers are aware of the opportunities presented by any investment in new technology

Operational Management

• Overall planning, implementation and management of network services including: VM support and administration; Cisco Switches, Cisco & Checkpoint Firewall and Cisco Routers support and administration
• Install, configure and support new and existing servers and network infrastructure
• Responsible for the Network Infrastructure across East Africa (Juba, Malawi, Uganda, Kenya).

Strategy & Planning

• Collaborate with heads of department to assess near and long-term network capacity needs
• Create and maintain documentation as it relates to network configuration, network mapping, processes and service records
• Develop, implement and maintain policies, procedures and associated training plans for network administration, usage and disaster recovery

Operational Management

• Configure networks to ensure their smooth and reliable operation for fulfilling company objectives and processes
• Oversee installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of end user workstation hardware, software, and peripheral devices
• Practice network asset management, including maintenance of network component inventory, related documentation and technical specifications information
