Assisting the Site Engineer in the daily operations of the Project at the Site by performing the following duties: -

  • Design of Civil and Structural works such as bridges, open channels, piped channels (Penstock) access roads, culverts, water retaining structures (chutes) among others, as may be necessary.
  • Reviewing and approval of designs, drawings, quotes and Bills of Quantities by Sub-contractors.
  • Participating in conducting acceptance checks on all structural and civil works within the project and engaging other stakeholder departments in verification of works;
  • Ensuring up-to-date project plan details are available and regular reporting on all on-going projects & works;
  • Preparation of bar cutting and bending schedules for reinforced concrete structures and inspection of the schedules prepared by the sub-contractors before subsequent submission for the Project Engineer’s approval.
  • Site inspection and supervision for earth works, bridge and culvert works, rebar fixing works, concrete works and building works among others.
  • Preparation of method statement for works.
  • Computation of volumes of earthworks using AutoCAD and MicroSurvey CAD from basic topo survey data for purposes of determination of quantities of works done.
  • Computer Aided drafting- Using AutoCAD and MicroSurvey CAD to come up with civil works drawing, Structural drawings and shop drawings.
  • Liaising with the quantity surveyors team in verifying the quantities used in take offs.
  • Compilation of daily, weekly and monthly reports for works, labour and equipment and onward submission of the same to the Projects Engineer.
